Frequently Asked Questions
Who do I send the money to and where?
  All checks should be addressed to SCAGA and sent to PO box 8483 Canton OH 44711.
 
If i live outside of Stark County can I still play in SCAGA?
  Yes, anyone can join our organization as long as you have amateur status.
 
Can I play with the same partner for all events?
  Yes, however in the event you and your partner win a tournament outright you cannot play with that partner in a team event for the rest of the year unless you move up a class. Class AA will have to find a new partner.
 
Can high school golfers participate in SCAGA?
  Yes, however the most merchandise they can win is $200 per tournament and they cannot participate in cash games.
 
Do I need a handicap card to play in SCAGA?
  Our classification is based on the honor system. However, we are asking that all new incoming players furnish some sort of handicap from a golf league or have a recognized member of SCAGA vouch for your level of play. A USGA handicap helps.
 
When and where can I redeem merchandise?
  All merchandise can be redeemed at Chippewa Golf Club (unless otherwise stated). You can redeem merchandise a week after the tournament is over and the certificates are good for three years.
 
Are caddies or spectators allowed?
  Yes, as long as they are not disruptive of play.
 
When will the tee times and results be posted?
  Typically the tee times will be posted the Thursday at noon before the tournament, and the results will be posted by the Monday after the tournament.
 
What set of tees will we play?
  Every flight will use the back tees of every course we play.
 
What is our policy on promotions?
  Anyone that wins an individual event in the A class will be promoted to the next higher class. If after a number of events you feel you can't compete in that flight we will discuss the possibility of moving back.
